Server recycling and data destruction.
Depreciated servers in particular may still have confidential information stored on the hard disks. IT-recycling is the expert in the certified destruction of hard disks, even on site. We will bring our mobile hard disk shredder to your place of business, remove the disks from your servers, and destroy the hard disks in your presence. But we can also take the servers and destroy the hard disks in our secured space in Uden. You will always receive a comprehensive registration certificate with any data destruction.
Lately, we have seen a significant increase in the number of servers we pick up for recycling. Servers quickly become outdated these days. And also due to virtualisation and Cloud technology, we see rising numbers in our server recycling.
Servers are relatively easy to recycle. We recycle 74% of each server (Percentage: WEEELABEX downstream of IT-recycling 2015). They mostly consist of metal and contain very little plastic materials. They also contain superior quality circuit boards. Unfortunately, servers also contain hazardous substances that are not easily renewable. That is why server recycling needs to be done with the utmost accuracy. Most definitely not in third world countries, because it will pose a threat to the environment.
Pay close attention when you dispose of servers for recycling that you hire a company that has the legally required WEEELABEX certification. Only then will you have 100% security that the recycling will take place within the Netherlands and according to the statutory standards.
Procurement of still current servers.
We can also make an offer on a party of younger servers, and HP and DELL in particular, if they are a maximum of about 4 years old. We offer good prices and fast hassle-free processing. The data will be destructed for you FREE OF CHARGE. Read more about the procurement of servers of feel free to contact us.
Certification and statutory requirements for printer recycling
Since July 2015 companies that collect and process computer waste are required to be certified according to the WEEELABEX-standard. Evidently, IT-Recycling carries this certification.
On the WEEELABEX website you can see which companies have been awarded the certification. A WEEELABEX-certification gives you the guarantee that the recycling will take place according to the highest standards and within the defined legal boundaries.
